Position Summary
Farmer Direct Foods is seeking a part-time Social Media Strategist to lead social content creation, management, and community engagement. In this role, you’ll develop and execute a multi-platform strategy to connect with amateur and professional bakers, highlighting the quality, tradition, and sustainability of our artisan flours.
Responsibilities include creating engaging content, fostering online community relationships, partnering with influencers, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize strategy. Ideal candidates have social media expertise, a passion for baking or sustainable products, and experience working with CPG or food-related brands.
This is a part-time, contract position with remote flexibility.
What You'll Do
Social Media Strategy Development:
- Craft and execute a multi-platform strategy (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and foster community growth among bakers and sustainability enthusiasts.
Content Creation & Management:
- Develop and post compelling content, including photos, videos, and stories that showcase the quality, tradition, and sustainability of our flours.
- Create snackable, shareable, and visually stunning content that resonates with both amateur and professional bakers.
Community Engagement:
- Actively engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions to foster relationships and build loyalty.
Collaborations:
- Work with influencers, bakers, and content creators to amplify our brand and create authentic partnerships.
Analytics & Optimization:
- Define KPIs, monitor performance metrics, and use data to inform and improve content strategy.
- Identify high-performing content and adapt strategies to replicate success.
Campaign Support:
- Partner with the VP of Marketing to execute seasonal campaigns, product launches, and special events, including giveaways and collaborations.
What We're Looking For
Passion for Baking & Sustainability:
- An interest in or experience with baking and a genuine enthusiasm for sustainable and artisan products.
Social Media Expertise:
- 2-4 years of experience in social media management, preferably within CPG or food-related brands.
- Strong understanding of content creation and optimization across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest.
Creativity & Storytelling:
- A natural ability to craft stories and visuals that inspire and engage a baking-savvy audience.
- Experience producing video content and working with UGC or influencers is a plus.
Strategic & Data-Driven:
- Skilled at using analytics tools to measure content performance and optimize strategies.
Organized & Self-Motivated:
- Excellent project management skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Collaboration & Networking Skills:
- Ability to build strong relationships with influencers, followers, and internal teams.
